Member's success stories
Many of our members compete regularly in Dressage, Show jumping, Eventing, Arena Eventing and Endurance Riding

Congratulations to Ali Colquhoun and Yogi who won the 70cm class at the recent Arena Event at ISEC
This result has qualified them for the British Eventing ACE final which will be held at SNEC in March next year. An amazing achievement
Congratulations and thank you to our members who made the long journey to Morris Equestrian to represent our club in the Area 1 qualifier competition where there was strong competition from other Riding clubs from all over the south of Scotland
In the show jumping the team of Ali Colquhoun, Emma Smail and Hazel Heron competed in the 70cm class where Emma was placed 4th and Ali was 6th. They then had to cope with challenging weather conditions and jumps blowing over in the 80cm class where Emma finished in 10th place
More success followed in the dressage classes where Amy Brown won both of her tests and Caroline Stewart was placed 2nd and 5th
Many thanks also to Fiona Traquair who attended as a volunteer for the day. It is a requirement at these competitions that each riding club provides at least one volunteer to enable the team to enter. It is also a good way to learn more about what is involved
Lynn Anderson riding Time for Heroes won the 60cm class and was 3rd in the 70cm class at the Arena Event at Ian Stark Equestrian Centre at the weekend

Francis Bakker riding Tannasg Solar Flare had an amazing achievement winning the 160km endurance ride at the Scottish Thistle Ride organised by the Scottish Endurance Riding Club which was held near St Boswells. This is 100 miles and ridden in one day. Congratulations from us all - awesome!!
Also successful at this event was Christine Betts and Midnight Star who won the 60km race, another great achievement - well done
